Hey Dee, what do you think about the team USA Roster. I know your boy, DWILL made the team, but I feel that they needed to add more size to play the 4 and 5 (with Dwight Howard being the only true center). to compete against some of bigger and also tougher zone defenses that the International teams love to play. With your playing experience against a wide array of International teams, you probably realized how different the international game is different from the NBA game. How do you think Team USA's lack of size will affect them . and overall how do you think they match up against some of these talented international squads?

The USA team is great and will play great basketball. The players overseas are very skilled and know how to play so it will be very interesting. I love the USA team from top from bottom.

These two guys are the future of the NBA, when talking about point guards, CP3 is amazing and a great leader but Deron is my friend and I really love his game and would definitely start a team with DWILL he has everything a coach wants and need for his team to win.

I knew you were home (thanks to my Mom who gets the Champaign News Gazette) and they had a article about you comming home the weekend of the 17-18th.
I had been checking your blog everyday and was getting kinda worried about you and hope your return home was good and everything was ok with the flight and family when you got home. I can only imagine all the catching up you have to do with the family, friends, etc. And then 2 teeth pulled!!! Yikes! I just hate to go to the dentist but it is a necesary thing. And you do have a million dollar smile so keep it looking good!!!!
Sounds like your boys are both doing great! Is your Grandma doing better? I remember you saying when you were home in Feb that she was in the hospital....
I hear Deron has been in Champaign recently and know you can't wait to see all the guys there too.
I will be seeing Coach Weber in Bloomington next Wed at the "Meet and Greet" for fans (also Coach Zook, but I am there for the Basketball guys!) I am so looking forward to this next season with the ILLINI. I know Jamar will be so strong this year. I have prayed so hard for this young man to turn his life around and I just know it will all turn out for the best.... He seems to be such a good kid and when I talked to him he was very confident that all would work out ok in the end. He has a chance to be a real leader on the team and show the younger guys alot of strength and courage and leadership. I hope the fans will support his hard work and forgive his mistake and move on.

OH yes, I was on the Illini website and the main picture under Bruce Webers page is a pic of him and you!!! You will forever be in the hearts of all the Illini Fans and Coach Weber was lucky to have the chance to coach you and all the guys! What a thrill you gave us all and still do every time I think back to that 04-05 season!!!

Hey Dee, I've searched far and wide and can't seem to get the skinny on your contract situation with Cafe Crown and your free agency rights WHEN you return to the NBA. Is your deal with Cafe Crown a one year with a player option for 2008-2009? Also, do the Jazz own your free agency rights when you come back because they made a qualifying offer in '07?

Great question...I have a two year with Cafe Crown but its my option I have a NBA buyout and Utah still own my rights. I will go work hard and hopefully I will be back in the NBA.
